Making it Digital Identity

 

Making it Digital is a project run by Hidden Art Cornwall in association with the research cluster Autonomaticat University College Falmouth. The project enabled 11 designer-makers from London and Cornwall to access and explore the potential of digital technologies and work with the 3D digital production research cluster to develop innovative new products and release these onto the market.

 

Following the success of the work we did for the Hidden Art Cornwall Design Fair, we were commissioned to design the identity for Making it Digital and all marketing material for an exhibition showcase.

 

Key to our response was to give the project its own distinctive identity, whilst maintaining a strong relationship with the umbrella brand of Hidden Art Cornwall. Like the Design Fair identity, we took the red circle (sold sticker) element of the Hidden Art Cornwall logotype as a point of reference. This time we developed the red dot, as a modular component, into a digital typeface – a reference to the digital technologies used by the designer-makers.

 

Used as the main identity element for the project, this was then applied to all marketing material and signage for the exhibition.
